    The "norm" around the globe throughout history has always been "Do what your elite superiors tell you." America was meant to be different and better. We carried OUR norm around the world, but it seems too frightening for most. Oh, well. Within our own borders, it's ours to decide. Individually, if not in groups, as states or as a nation.
