The rippling after-effects of a poor translation are amazing. The Bible in Greek says "You will not murder" and is translated into king James English as "Thou shall not kill".
Nuance? No. There is a great difference between the premeditated murder of someone and defending yourself and those for who you are responsible, up to and including killing someone who attacks you.
Prohibiting legal carry of weapons in churches is a misguided and perverted example of Christianity. Just as tax authorities are no longer allowed to collect tithes for the churches, legislatures have no business enacting laws affecting churches. Remember, each individual must answer to his or her God regardless of what is man-made law.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammo!
