This Day in History: February 9

On February 9th, Capt. Wheatley went out on reconnaissance with 20 mounted Rangers, and Col. Marbury quickly got news of this patrol. He sent Capt. Cooper with 12 men. When Capt. Wheatley stopped to cook dinner, Capt. Cooper rushed the camp and captured them without any resistance. [More]
