Last post today. Go watch the video.

I'm going to go have a cigar and about three fingers of the good stuff.

There was an article on Drudge this morning, now conspicuously missing.

Isn't it the news media's job to report the news or is that now an arcane concept.

  6. I was AMAZED. Couldn't detect any anti-gun spin or anything. Well, closeups of big scary AK variants, and the use of the term "assault RIFLE," but other than that, it seemed really straight-up. And the Brian Terry menion... doubly amazing. I guess there was too much heat from you Internet journalists and it was getting embarrassing. Way to go, Mr. Codrea!

Good job bringing this out, David!

There was just a hint of anti-gun bias in the AK47-style "assault rifle" comment, unless those were real select-fire full-auto rifles. But that would leave me wondering how the store had full auto rifles in the first place. Otherwise, it was a very good piece that exposed government corruption, and how it backfired on them.

Of course, the very fact that CBS is running this could be described as anti-gun because they show how the guns move from honest dealers to the cartels. The good thing, though, is this time, the piece is directed at our enemy: the BATFEces. Yet, CBS made no mention of all the other types of weaponry not available to the U.S. citizen that the cartels get from other sources.

One more thing: does the video show that the cartels DO get a major portion of their weapons from U.S. dealers, or was this a one time thing that the BATF encouraged?
