Correct me if I am wrong, but a police officer can threaten you with arrest if you commit a crime in his presence. He must be able to cite the offense for which he is arresting you. He cannot legally use any more force than is absolutely necessary to effect the arrest. For the officer to threaten with physical harm outside of arrest for performance of legal activity is assault. Consult a skilled attorney who loves contingency fee compensation. As a person, that police officer along with his employer may be much poorer soon. As a person, you have the ability to mess up that officer's wallet.

Sounds like a "terroristic threat" to me. The kind of threat that could get you and me magically turned into prohibited persons.
