Obama Unveiled

Supposedly we're going to find out what that "under the radar" gun control is all about. [Read]

I'm sorry, whenever I hear the word "stakeholder" I automatically think of Abraham van Helsing.

Pretty good instincts, huh?

Except Omamination is no van Helsing. He's the damned vampire.

  2. "Still, executive actions offer something that legislation doesn't: guaranteed results."

Huh? What results? Gun control is BS that doesn't produce results. Ask the gangbangers in gun ban Chicago to show you their guns - they got 'em!

"And as one gun control advocate told the Huffington Post, there are ways to "use these administrative changes to obtain similar results."

A gun control advocate talking to the HuffPo? Doesn't that qaulify as mutual political masturbation?

Obama can't do much by executive order. He can't ban 32-round magazines, and he can't force private sellers to do background checks.
Huffing and puffing from the HuffPo. No surprise there.

  3. "Stakeholder" is the Marxist way of expanding the term "shareholder" to include not only people who acutally own shares in a company, but people who are somehow perhipherally involved with the company so that they can be handed a say in how the company is run.
In this case, it's Obama's way of saying that gun banners have just as much of a stake in the Second Amendment as gun owners. That's BS; that's Obama.

  4. this is just "plan b."

by unveiling some piddling non-action, the administration disavows gunwalker 100%, presumably leaving holder and/or the DOJ holding the bag. "say, why'd you jump the gun, fellas? or should i say walk?"

they simultaneously infuriate the SPLC/VPC/brady donation base, giving these scammers something to write give-us-your-money chain letters about. "obama's not doing enough, we need to lobby harder... with your help."

the announcement that there will be an announcement wasn't necessary at all. why would you do that? didn't you have the meat of 'plan b' ready before launching gunwalker? (well ok, maybe not.) who is it that you need to buy more time with?
