  1. Cops break the law, and we are told that a few bad apples do not reflect all cops.
    Then cops investigate their lawbreaking brethren and absolve them of all charges. The investigators who cover for their lawbreaking coworkers are just a few bad apples and do not reflect all cops.
    The supervisors look into complaints and sweep them under the rug. Just a few bad apples.
    Then cops take retribution against officers who dare speak out. Just a few bad apples.
    How many apples are there, anyway?
