Damn, Nature, You Scary!

A question about "duty to retreat": What does a predator on the hunt usually do when its targeted prey runs?

  1. The predator is a victim, a hapless product of a corrupt patriarchal society which leaves it no alternative but to survive as best it can on the fringes of its environment. To run from it is simply to acknowledge your own culpability for its plight, through your secure place in an unfair and morally decrepit system.

Black is white, slavery is freedom, gun control is safety. That is all.

  2. "As both joggers and cougars proliferate they seem to have found each other. It is the basic instinct of the predator to run after anything that runs away, and the cougar and the jogger seem to have arrived at a happy symbiosis."

  3. Cower, pray, and plead. That means of self defense has been feeding predators for thousands of years. Who are we to mess with mother nature?
