Sadly, I'm not really eligible for this contest. I usually write to point out errors, and papers don't like to run those. The last time I sorta got an LTE published, it was edited such (1995: inserted poor grammar, worse spelling, inserted non sequiturs, deleted arguments and facts) that I didn't realize it was "my" letter until I saw my name beneath it.*
No, they didn't run the retraction I demanded either.
