Jefferson said it best: They have "erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance."
Mad dog governmental employees who believe they are accountable to no one.

Should read: "Mad dog governmental employees who are accountable to no one."
Years ago when I observed numerous prosecutorial abuses and misconduct - which always went unpunished - I tried to interest some lawyers in advancing a law that would offer grand jury access to citizens.
The thumbnail version is this: I noted that civil proceedings against government agents were defended by the same government lawyers who are supposed to prosecute government agents. It's a conflict of interest. The same government law office charged with prosecuting crimes defends civil charges.
A lawyer - an officer of the court - should be able to review evidence and present it to a grand jury. The same lawyer should then be paid what a DOJ trial lawyer gets for prosecuting the case. Of course, the DOJ would be defending the federal actor. DOJ's client is the US Government - not "the people."
Until something like the above happens, there will never be justice. Thus, mad dog governmental employees and agents will remain accountable to no one.
