Two major mistakes just in one line. First, you are anywhere from 7 to 11 times more likely to be "accidentally" shot by a cop than a permit holder. Second, and the one of most common knowledge, the police have no duty to protect anyone. The SCOTUS says so. Their duty is to the "public at large".
