We're the Only Ones "Who Will Geld the Guards?" Enough

Alabama Women's Prison Inmates Sexually Abused By Guards, Report Says [More]
Regularly?  For years?

Why do you think they call 'em "screws"?

  1. Ya know? If a woman in prison suddenly comes up pregnant it's sorta a dead give away. Unless the institution allows conjugal visits and unless the inmate actually HAD such a visit in the requisite time frame, the father kinda HAS TO BE prison staff - unless you want to posit parthenogenesis.

Employee drug testing is an accepted practice, and anyone working as a corrections officer has to be fingerprinted, why not "DNA fingerprinting" upon being hired for all male employees? Then when (and I figure it IS a "when" not an "if") an inmate comes up pregnant proving paternity would only a matter of a relatively simple lab procedure. Upon determining the genetic father two results would occur. 1) Immediate termination and 2) court-ordered child support.

And don't tell me that not all sexual congress in prison is rape. It doesn't matter. Sexual contact with inmates should be cause for immediate termination - PERIOD! Just as in every automobile collision there is always one driver who has the "last clear opportunity to avoid" the collision, so it is the possessor of the penis who has the "last clear opportunity to avoid" the sexual act.

Oh, and just as sexual activity with a minor is considered rape by definition, so sexual congress between a corrections officer and an inmate (gender of either is irrelevant) should also be rape BY DEFINITION! If the possibility of getting fired and facing 20-odd years of child support by itself isn't deterrent enough then going down for rape should be. I don't suspect that doing time for anything would be a picnic for a former "screw".
