State Crazy at CNN

Alan Korwin bravely enters the lion's den and handles himself beautifully. [Watch]

The very premise is offensive, and rather than being an impartial moderator between two guest debaters, Amanpour is the lead attack dog.

I'm very impressed with the way he handled both of his antagonists.  It's not an easy thing to do, and he really did it well.  I'm going to study this some more for pointers.

The thought struck--if the kind of madman they were discussing burst in during the broadcast, Alan would have been the only one capable of doing anything about it.

  1. I'll take your word for it David. I can't watch these clips anymore, makes my blood pressure rise too much and puts me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. I find I can't even watch/read the news the past couple weeks with the flame storm that is going on.

The complete lack of objectivity is infuriating. We have people being slaughtered every day in "gun free" zones across our major cities, and all of a sudden it happens to white people in a movie theater in a "nice neighborhood", and the media/public at large shits itself.

    I'm through watching these clowns.

  2. Alan Korwin did a great job!

Every time I go to Germany, normally twice a year, I have to listen to Amanpour spewing her disdain for Americans. The only English speaking channel on the TV at the Hotel is CNN International.

I always love getting home to the "Land of the Pickup Truck" and finally have the chance to listen to "Armed American Radio" again.

God Bless the United States of America.

  3. THE RAGE! THE FURY! I CAN'T STAND IT ANYMORE!

Seriously, I had to calm down after watching that hideous hit piece. Amanpour's questions to Alan were intensely hostile, both in form and tone, and her questions to that other dweeb were complete softballs, almost pitiful in their begging tone. Alan Korwin was great, but if I had any respect at all for Amanpour, it's gone now.

Definitely not a journalist, but a jackal.

David, Mr Korwin, handled himself well and made all the right points but I have to say, against the Amanpour the hyperventilating hack, he came off second best, because she won on emotion rather reason.
This happens on TV, time and time again. There is only one way to shut these debates down and that is to go nuclear on this assclowns, and that is what Ice-T did to that interviewer in London. He spoke the hard cold truth of the matter by telling the interviewer, that the 2nd Amendment is about hunting or sports, it's about holding a balance of power against the The Man. That interviewer did not know where to go from there. Mr Korwin is too much of a gentleman perhaps to take this line, but sincerely that is the only way you will shut these farcical "interviews" down. That and to repeat Mr Vanderbough's credo on what happens to those who come for our guns...
It really is time to take the gloves off, because they are whupping us in the media...

Pat H. posted this in a comment a few posts down. It is exactly on the money:

""I think it's time to meet this with the bluntness of Mike Vanderboegh's statement, "if you try to take our guns, we will kill you."

We should be well and truly past the nice guy zone.

  6. That bitch should do an interview with Ice-T, followed by one with Mike V.
Alan K. is just too nice.
