In a dark corner of the gun nut Right-wing blogosphere

I musk ask, where do people like David Codrea come from? [More]
Hudson, Ohio, Chauncey. An old Underground Railroad town.

He's used this for the springboard.

  1. A respectable Negro wrote this (Regarding the purported "Right"):

"they are incapable of seeing people of color as individuals who simply do not like them..."

Wow. I have a number of close friends - or folks who I thought were friends - who I was totally unaware "don't like me" because I could be perceived as someone with a lighter skin tone and who may be perceived as being on the "Right."

That statement is really telling. If the author was trying, with that and other fatuous retorts, to rebut the premises of the author (David Codrea)in the essay he was attacking, he either fell flat on his ass, is a erudite maroon, or I, and many other folks have been so bedazzled by "people of color" that WE are the maroons.

I'd bet if I asked my alleged friends about my two choices they'd say that anyone who uses such sweeping generalizations about "people of color" is likely living in a taxpayer-funded ivory tower AND is a maroon.

But following DeVega's "logic", I'd have to presume they were lying to me because my skin is possibly lighter toned than theirs, and I may be perceived to belong to the "Right."

    Unbefuckinglievable.

Is that really what students are getting nowadays in "higher education?"

  2. I don't know that "Chauncey" is a part of "higher education," Ned. Matter of fact, it's a pseudonym, "he" may not be only one person, and I couldn't even prove to you that "he's" black or that "he's" a "he."

"How do we know you're not really white?" is a question I can't seem to find answered, although it's not worth my time to do more than a cursory search.

  5. I wonder what this "respectable" Negro thinks about this man who earned my respect protecting his family with a firearm? Retired Houston Firefighter Shoots, Kills Home Invader Attacking His Family (VIDEO) http://www.guns.com/texas-firefighter-shoots-thief-11110.html

My guess is he/she'd not be too keen on this responsible and sensible use of fire power by a common man, in particular a black man! And that's just sad.
