Of course the word "lunatic" gets banned when the inmates are running the asylum! What can one expect lunatics to do, mandate sanity? Our lunatic congressholes set up a fiscal cliff, and they're driving our economy off it! The loonies banning "lunatic" is among the least of our worries. Getting through 2013 while remaining more or less financially intact is a more serious concern.
Look at the big picture. If these clowns went to work for a year "purging" the U.S. Code of various "offensive" terms, the wouldn't be causing us harm. BAN THE WORDS! BAN THE WORDS!
Get to work, folks. There must be other busywork you can undertake to keep you from doing anything meaningful (in other words, harmful.)
