"To me, 10- and 11-year-olds do bad things," he said. "They throw rocks through windows. They shoot BB guns at people's cars. They hit people with sticks, they set a cat on fire. Those are things that children do. But this was a plot to kill." [More]Maybe your kids do, buddy. You accept those first few examples as normal behavior, and how is it their taking things to the next level shocks you so?
This article brings up another beef of mine -- this business of "protecting" the identities of juveniles hardly serves the interests of public safety -- if there are a couple of proto-psychos living in my neighborhood, I'd like to know about it so I can exercise appropriate precautions. And that includes any twisted enough to throw rocks through windows, shoot BB guns at people's cars, hit people with sticks and set cats on fire.
Yes indeed... such people should be exposed publicly and well known, whatever their age.
ReplyDeleteThe real question is why people allow their children to be gathered into massive, indiscriminate herds where such things are possible.
The best way to prevent this kind of horror is not to send precious children into the maws of the government indoctrination camps called "schools," whether teachers are armed or not.
I can't imagine any modern teacher being physically or psychologically able to shoot a ten year old anyway.
