Power Sharing

It's the egalitarian thing to do. [Read]

This looks like an interesting blog. It's important to show those who claim to be all about equality are actually working toward an elitist monopoly of violence.

  1. Thanks, David.

Too many "conservative" and "gunowner" types have a low opinion of the word "egalitarian." Yet they stumble all over themselves, like Pat Buchanan just did in a recent article, trying to explain away Jefferson's famous call for an egalitarian society:

    All men are created equal.

Egalitarianism is a great selling point. We all want treated equally.

But if any proposal to create more sociopolitical equality requires the heavy hand of State hierarchy to impose it, well, it is by definition not egalitarian.

Egalitarian means, simply and scientifically in both evolutionary biology and anthropology, nobody Lording-It-Over others.

Egalitarian society is where an individual lives an "autonomous and sovereign" lifeway. Interestingly enough, that phrase "autonomous and sovereign" is used identically in two scholarly scientific texts I have in my personal library (Boehm, 1999; Service, 1975), which got me delving into a deeper understanding.

So let's take the Leftist hierarchs' favorite selling point, and use it in its proper scholarly meaning, and spank 'em with it.

Hey, turnabout is egalitarian too! ;)
