Look at the holes in that truck.
Look at how many rounds they fired.
And there was a second shooting?
Shooting newspaper delivery women. They didn't even have a target identified. If you or I were afraid of a stalker and had done that, imagine how the antis, the newspapers, the politicians, the police hierarchies and the police unions would be exploiting that to "prove" that mere "civilians" are just too untrained and prone to panic to safely use guns for self defense.
This was an act of unprovoked aggression and absolute hysteria.
Caused by one guy. One crazy guy from their ranks.
There are lessons to be observed here, and from the Malvo/Muhammad episode, particularly if any widespread gun enforcement becomes part of a national plan. You know, the same "laws" Dorner demands "Whether by executive order or thru a bi-partisan congress."
The article says they were looking for a Nissan truck, that's a Toyota.
ReplyDeleteThe political left couldn't care less about collateral damage by cop. The statists want their cops heavily armed, and they want private citizens to be defenseless and at their mercy.
ReplyDeleteAnd STILL, the Bradys say only cops are trustworthy with guns. Oh, and Bradys, Act II (Giffords and Kelly)
ReplyDelete@Roger U: To cops, I guess all pickups look the same from the back.
ReplyDeleteInteresting how in the photo essay of the linked article, the paragraph describing the picture of the riddled pickup states in part: "The officers were protecting the neighborhood in the wake of threats against an officer..."
ReplyDeleteAnyone ever notice how "experts" like Mark Kelly, the astronut husband of celebrity "gun violence" victim Gabby Giffords, offers up anecdotes such as, a legally armed citizen "almost" shot one of the people who disarmed the nut who shot Giffords? (We won't delve into the fact that he was easier to disarm due to the size of the magazine causing an obvious leverage disadvantage when he ran dry...)
We hear of zillions of scenarios by the "gun violence" pundit du juor regarding the unspeakable horrors that would ensue if people were actually armed and able to defend themselves. They're not "trained" like police officers, you know.
Thank heavens. If mere armed citizens were trained like police officers, they would do several mag dumps with their terrible semi-auto weapons of war, and likely shoot everything BUT the perp in the process.
I guess that's why here in the real world, one rarely, if ever, hears about armed "mundanes" shooting up a bunch of "innocent bystanders" while defending him or herself.
Citizens are responsible for where the bullets they launch fly. Police, who have no legal duty to protect any citizen, can, and do, "spray and pray," and to hell with where their bullets finally land.
After all, they're always following "department guidelines," no matter who they kill or maim in the process of protecting us all.
I wonder who many other mere citizens will be shot up or killed while the police are out there valiantly "protecting the neighborhood" from an only one "gone bad."
Ya see folks, only police and military need "weapons of war."
God help us all if that ever happens.
Not saying I'm sympathetic to what he's doing, but this guy has a beef- here's his manifesto and he's pissed:

I don't think you'll get this perspective from the media.
It's even worse:
ReplyDeleteTHE SUSPECT WAS LAST SEEN DRIVING A 2005 BLUE OR GRAY NISSAN TITAN, WITH A CA LICENSE PLATE OF 8D83987 or 7X09131 - THE SUSPECT MAY BE SWTICHING BETWEEN THE TWO LICENSE PLATES.
THE VEHICLE ALSO HAS SKI RACKS ON ITS ROOF.
So, why do I need a semi-automatic personal defense rifle with a high capacity magazine?
ReplyDeleteApparently, to protect myself from the LAPD!
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2013/02/ex-lapd-cop-allegedly-stalked-victims.html
Holey truck, Batman!
ReplyDeleteThey're on the lookout for ONE guy and shooting innocent bystanders at a pretty good clip.
ReplyDeleteImagine how many ghosts they'd shoot if this guy were multiplied a thousand times!
ReplyDeleteThese shooters (cops)should be prosecuted like any other CCW or restraining order holder who fires 40 rounds into a vehicle (even the right vehicle)
And........is the retaliatory model what passes for policework in LA? Are the LA police really a big death squad? Shoot first identify later? Really???
Dorners complaint (that he reported police abuse and was ostracised for it) seems pretty credible.
Fight islam Now
Can't help but think of Sean Bell. Wonder what his 'widow' thinks about all this?
