Rev. Franklin Graham and other leading evangelical figures are publicly backing efforts to require background checks for all gun purchases, providing a shot in the arm to stalled congressional efforts to enact elements of President Barack Obama’s gun control plan. [More]And naturally, those who hate everything he (says he) stands for are outraged that he'd try to breach the "wall of separation." No?
Shouldn't Elmer Gantry here be trying to con widows on fixed incomes out of love offerings or something?
Now this just breaks my heart, for Rev. Franklin Graham is a righteous evangelist for Jesus Christ. To think that he would publicly support such an unConstitutional and unGodly idea is sad indeed. He has not learned that governments are not to be trusted.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah. David, there is no way this man is a friend of the devil, except for lack of understanding, which, in any Christian, is possible.
ReplyDeleteI don't give a damn if it's through ignorance, in which case he's committing malpractice, or through intent. He is endorsing and enabling policies that lead to tyranny and genocide. The road to hell may be paved with good intentions, but it runs right over mass graves. If he's going to make himself my enemy, he'll get the same quarter here I can expect from the jackboots who enforce his stupid, evil wishes.
