    Anything with a light sensitive detector can have that detector blinded or destroyed by a laser of suitable wavelength and power. All that's needed is the laser (there are some now with a >3 mile effective range) and the technology to find the drone. Another approach: jamming drone communication frequencies - low tech and it gives away your position.

    Why not just take out the drone operator instead? It sends a much more effective message. And one does not need to do it while he is on duty...
