  1. Thanks for picking it up David. :)

The present-day "liberal" Peace Church position is unfortunate; they've abandoned their traditional way of non-violence, which includes not being involved with the State, like not voting, not being involved in law suits even if harmed, not running for office, not serving in the military, not purchasing insurance, etc.

It actually holds together fairly logically, even to a little boy like me listening to my grandpa.

And it made a close community. One of my fondest memories is rebuilding my uncle's cabinet shop after it burned. A bunch of broad-rim hat, long-bearded carpenters and farmers cleared away the smoking rubble on a Saturday with loader tractors and buried it in a hole in the field, then church members bought supplies and lumber. The next weekend, the walls went up, the roof was on. I was my dad's helper, and the women made the best food ever. Now that's blessed assurance!

But now, a large contingent of traditional Peace Churches have become modern Leftists cupcakes with a few Jesus Sprinkles to look pretty.
