Asking how many panicked buyers packed the offices of their legislators would be a fair question. So would asking how many are members of the group Burgess represents. [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes some defeats result from just not fighting hard enough -- or from not fighting at all.
It seems that many are not doing anything towards protecting their 2A rights against new legislations because they think:
ReplyDelete1)It can never where they live
2)If we just agree to "this" the anti's will go away
3)It's unconstitutional anyway and will be overturned by the court
The last one really gets me.. really, relying on a court who may at some point in the distant future "rule" on the issue? and if it takes 10 years to get to SCOTUS? remember it's not a tax but it's OK becuase it is a tax?
There is no room for ANY comporomise of the US Constitution.
Don't know about CT, but out here people have already figured out that the bastages aren't going to listen anyway, so we're just going to keep preparing for the inevitable.
ReplyDeleteThat's one way to make sure it's inevitable.
ReplyDeleteWell said, Crustyrusty! And Anonymous, my "representative" has been sucking "Weepy" dick ever since he was sworn in this January, just as his predecessor did before him. One of my "Senators" is Nelson, after the jackasses-in-elephant-suits ran Connie Mack against him, and the other is Rove Republican Rubio, who is an expert in triangulation. As long as he's sure he won't make a difference, he'll pontificate appropriately. But as soon as his vote would MEAN something, he'll toe the line.
ReplyDeleteI would just as soon get this over with BEFORE the FedPigs buy another 1.6 billion cartridges and a couple thousand more MRAPs.
