As I said over at Sipsey... I wouldn't give them empty brass. The Supreme Court already ruled that law enforcement has no duty to protect us. Why would I "donate" ammo, that I have in reserve to defend myself and my family, to people who have no duty to protect me or my family? Goventment created this pile of shit, now let them wallow in it.
Cops Needing Ammo Should Just Ask. If the community feels they are “worthy”, they’ll get what they need. Or not, as the case may be. This highlights yet another example of government failure; Napolitano’s still spending millions and millions buying bullets, allegedly to (1) keep them away from the citizens and (2) use them to cow and control the citizens. Or perhaps Janet knows of a coming collapse of the Dollar and is stockpiling precious metals in the form of ammunitions. Though I suppose the government could be preparing for an invasion by ETs and simply feels they need to protect us children from the truth. In any case, it’s an unconstitutional expenditure on a program that exceeds the government’s delegated-but-restricted powers, and which has already failed. We The People already have a stockpile of bullets, reloading equipment and supplies, and further, know where to get more in the event of a conflict. Besides, as in all insurrections, there is always an outside party willing to provide supplies for one reason or another. Why, government training of soldiers in insurgency and counter-insurgency warfare even provides the necessary contacts. It’s amazing how short-sided the current crop of politicians has been . . . .
Reckon if the Police Chief would be willing to provide self defense ammo on request to citizens who need it to preserve their lives? Anyone want to take a SWAG at that one?
What wonderful, helpful citizens!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sure if a rapist ran out of victims, helpful citizens would gladly offer up their daughters for the cause.
Sorry I have no rounds to spare. Wonder if they will ever try confiscation 'for the good of all'.

Sedition
The concept I believe David Codrea was pointing to is that when the going gets tough for "law enforcement", where do the cops look to for help?
ReplyDeleteThe citizens.
If the cops' actions establish they are at war with the citizens, where does that leave the cops?
