A Sly Move

“I was honored to be a part of this initial exchange of ideas,” said James, whose prepared remarks attributed Kansas City’s youth violence problem to poverty, lack of educational attainment and access to guns. [More]
What, they don't have public schools in Kansas City?

They don't have entry level jobs someone can succeed in and work up from?

Yeah, the solution to "homicides ... traced to a 13-square-mile segment of the 319-square-mile city" is obviously to disarm you and me.

  1. So the solution to the National Socialists is to pass more common-sense reforms? Where are these fellows' thinking caps, did they not get one when they were being issued? Do they really believe the boys in the cities with guns and no self control are merely waiting for more common-sense gun laws before they stop poppin' caps in one another? This is pure, unadulterated madness to not address the root cause of violence in the black community, namely the lack of fathers to show these boys how to be a man! Why can't Sly and Barry openly discuss and debate this?

Dr. King had a dream people would be judged by their character and not their color! We'll by now we also know their character!

  2. Perhaps Mr. Sly should take a slow drive through that urban corridor they talk about so much.

I graduated from high school back in 69. My high school is or was smack dab in the center of that area.

I know of the 'youths' he refers to. The ones loafing on the street corners, drinking, smoking, hiking up their sagging pants from time to time, and glaring at the passing traffic.

It both discusses and saddens me to see this degradation. It saddens me because it is their own fault. No one else.

    Damned stupid fools!
