Spread the word to people who are running into the same problem trying to access shutdown-affected government websites that there is a workaround--at least it worked in this case, so it's worth a try on other .gov sites. Try going to the Wayback Machine and entering the url you can't otherwise reach. You may not reach the most up to date page, but if you reach something, it may be better than nothing.
