Adam Collins, a spokesman for the Police Department, says it would be out of the question to resell the guns. "Any small financial gain would not justify being part of putting more firearms out on the streets," he told me. [More]Can you imagine being Adam Collins? Because I can't. It's like an alien way of thinking I'm not hard-wired to be able to grok.
It just shows he's a coward who can't bear the thought of his gang- the badged ones and the freelance thugs- being outgunned by the decent people who might not cooperate with being robbed, raped, and bullied by his kind if properly armed.
ReplyDeleteHis statement makes a morbid kind of sense if you start with the assumption that he's a Chicago-style collectivist, and by "out on the streets" he really means "out of our ['Only Ones''] hands."
ReplyDeleteBackground checks, FOID checks, FFL checks, etc. don't matter; if it's not in "Only Ones'" hands, it's not a "safe" gun unless it's destroyed.
Oh, I suspect that many, if not most of the really nice ones never make it to the crusher. Lots of ways for them to "disappear," and I'd love to get a look at any of the collections these cretins have. Selling confiscated property "under the table" is probably more the norm than any exception. They have no objection to the money... as long as it goes into their pockets.
ReplyDeleteWonder how many of those guns "walk" to Mexico, one way or another. Or in the hands of gang bangers, despite their protestations. The only hands they're keeping empty of guns are the silly "law abiding" who remain helpless victims.
