Sipsey Street Blackout

Vanderboegh just called and asked me to tell everybody he's had a power outage and will be offline until it comes back on.

ATF whistleblower Dobyns’ case against government to begin on Monday

After his role in the Hells Angels investigation became known, Dobyns and his family received death threats. His house was burned down. The basis of Dobyn’s claims against the government centers on its lack of appropriate actions followed by acts of retaliation for his then coming forward. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes a day of judgment is coming.  Maybe justice will even happen in the courts...

The Only Option?

"On the other hand, if these counties reach the point where life and property are truly in danger, the only tools that I have available now are pretty much mobilizing the National Guard, which is an equally unpalatable option." [More]
Really?

You swore an oath to the Constitution and can't think of any other alternative?

A Woman's Prerogative

Has Bloomberg spooked Oregon State Senator Betsy Johnson into changing her mind? [More]

OFF needs gun activists to contact her. They could not have made it easier.

If you're from Oregon, do that and tell your friends.

If you're not from Oregon but have friends who are, tell them they have some calls to make and correspondence to send.

This needs to be done right now.

UPDATE (Reader "Dubs" sends ):
Got a nice response from her indicating no change in position.  Discussions involve updating NICS system for adjudicated persons.    One quote:

4 previous gun bills are gone and won't be heard. Senator Johnson says those four bills will not be the basis of any conversation about gun laws going on now. She says there is no specific legislation being discussed at this point, and right now, it's just talking."

Expressed my desire that strict scrutiny for civil rights be observed. Law should be narrow, tailored to specific problem, not solution looking for a problem.

She stated no change in her position. Give her some positives. Explain your position politely.
That's good to know. But it also emphasizes a point I try to make (and that some scoff at) about the importance of not turning our noses up at social media as a useful tool for activists, because this whole area of inquiry is a direct reaction to a post on her Facebook page:
That's the kind of rhetoric that's going to raise flags for activists familiar with political sausage-making, and its wholly appropriate for constituents reading it to voice concerns and seek reassurances.

All things considered, that's pretty damned outrageous.

Uniting Against Tyranny Since 1775

Behold the .308 semiautomatic from Patriot Ordnance Factory...
Really?

So what is this about? Are they getting your guns through a dealer or do you have a contract to supply them?

Will you sell guns to California game wardens the state won't let you sell to citizens?

If so, how does that unite us against tyranny?  How is that in the spirit of 1775?

If not, I'd say a statement would be appropriate so gun owners uniting against tyranny won't draw any wrong conclusions.

I know a lot of you were steamed over CCRKBA supporting Manchin-Toomey. I made my views known too, and the reasons for them. And I know there's all kinds of criticism over perceived flaws of Heller.

I'm an absolutist. I want it all, I want it now and I want it delivered.

Thing is, I don't know how to make that happen.  If you do, make it so, Number One. Take the chair and tell us our course.

If you don't, the reality is, this is a fight of a thousand cuts.  And the legal cuts SAF has made have been deeper than anybody else's so far.

Ammunition? Go Through Lingerie and then Past Mattresses

Of course he was. And of course they did.

Keep messing with young minds like this, keep bullying and giving cause to hate the tormenters and everything they stand for, add some drugs into the mix for those square pegs who don't pound neatly into round holes, and I'm actually surprised more don't snap after years of being subjected to bureaucratic authoritarian domination.
