We're the Only Ones Not Charging Enough
A 21-year-old college coed who handed cops a golden opportunity last year to arrest the “person of interest” in the Amy Lord murder and the suspect in two nightstalker-style assaults on South Boston women says she’s dumbfounded that police never brought charges against Edwin Alemany — even after she grabbed his wallet and handed them his I.D. Dave Workman broke this a week ago.
I noticed some ProgsTM [prag blogs :-)] talking about this over the past few days, and not a one of them would link to his Examiner.com article, although the blog they sourced did.
Mark Walters and I have a running joke about all the stories I post that we talk about, only to see a lag on Drudge of a few days until a "name" presents it as a newsworthy scoop.
It's unfair. And it does nothing but take the wind out of the sails of those doing the digging to unearth these gems. That's why I pointed it out.

Anyone who loves freedom should raise his glass and make the toast, “This year in Galt’s Gulch Chile.” [More]Except:
The regulation of guns in Chile is categorised as restrictive. There ain't no place to run and ain't no place to hide. And I sure wouldn't start off by citing the diaspora as any kind of example for people to follow.
As for the "editor's note" that "Perhaps you might consider expatriation NOW, and then possibly returning to a newly seceded nation after the early unpleasantness," not if I have anything to say about who gets in to what those of us who stand fast salvage and build you won't.
Sorry. Good luck and all that, and so long, but if I raise my glass it will be to victory.
Colo. apartment gun ban shows new danger for gun owners
How this could be construed as "reasonable" in any U.S. court, especially with the Supreme Court having specifically found a right to keep a gun in the home in two separate cases, is unclear, but this could be a case where a specific conflict between private property rights and the right of tenants to keep and bear arms is tested. And the video accompanying the 9News report indicates more such bans may be on the way. [More]Today's Gun rights Examiner report notes a new line of attack we can expect to see more of.
