Documents point to ATF raid on 'Lanza gun shop' being a staged media event

It’s fair to ask how The Courant was able to produce such a detailed report practically simultaneously to the events without advance information of the ongoing raid. It would appear to be especially relevant as the situation was deemed by professional federal law enforcement to be dangerous enough to send dozens of armed agents and police officers ostensibly into harm’s way, not to mention posing real risks to store employees and any customers who may have been on premises. [More]

Today’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes a carefully-planned media event disguised as a law enforcement operation. Funny, isn’t it, how they then turn around and refuse to answer oversight interrogators using the “ongoing investigation” excuse to avoid compliance?

Isn’t it?

EXCLUSIVE: Executive Actions

What they’re filtered by is an administration bent on having its way regardless of whether Congress will give it to them or not. [More]
My most recent GUNS Magazine "Rights Watch" column, covering the administration's current assault against gun trusts and imports, is now online.

The purpose of this posting will be clear after I publish today's GRE.

I need a place to park this screenshot, taken last December, so that I can link to it in my column.

"Gun violence" and no "gun violence."

Fortunately, as far as the former is concerned, there is a solution.

That is, if you think making kids show the world what valuables they're carrying on their way through the turf is any kind of solution...

Yep, it's Chi-Town, alright...

Now I started this show on this station a year ago with David Codrea of Gun Rights Examiner, The War on Guns, GUNS Magazine, AmmoLand and it was fitting that we started with David today for our monthly hour talking about all that's happened during the month... As usual there is always more to talk about than time to do it in... [More]

My Mother Lives in Hackensack

See, the reason the place is such a crime-infested $h!+hole has nothing to do with the fact that it's just another predictable example of the fruits of collectivism, at least according to Bergen County Prosecutor Molinelli, who rues the fact that his tentacles can't reach out to clutch you and me. [More]

We're probably responsible for the actions of another (former) Bergen County Prosecutor, too.  Assuming we're getting the full story.

But don't worry about Molinelli. He's immune.

And just the kind of guy I'd like to give up my guns to.

Demonstrating What, Exactly?

“Californians will wear empty holsters because that state’s laws are so strict.” [More]
What, let's publicly parade our humiliating abject surrender and call it a "gun rights" demonstration?

I'd be embarrassed and ashamed to participate.

I think some states need to sit out on this one and focus on what they can do.

So Much for Precedent

One way to slow down and reverse the proliferation of guns in Connecticut would be to give gun violence victims the right to sue gun manufacturers for the damage caused by their products. [More]
The antis will never accept that they lost this one, just like they will never accept an individual right or incorporation to the states or...

It figures, the same ones who rely on stare decisis over original intent throw precedent over the railing when it suits their purposes.

They're the same ones who bellow about "home rule" when lifted restrictions apply to all, but then turn around and demand federal edicts for all.

That's because they are evil manipulators and liars who will do whatever it takes to gain total control.

That's because they are the enemy.
