    Ms. Nasheed

Your choice of words, as shown in the subject header, shows your utter disdain for the people of Missouri as well as the founding fathers who in their infinite wisdom established our great republic. Your quote, "The state will never trump federal laws." further demonstrates a lack of understanding about the nature of the relationship between the several states and the central government that was created by the states. If you had read the U.S. Constitution, or The Federalist Papers you might not be so ignorant of that fact. "In like manner, as far as the sovereignty of the States cannot be reconciled to the happiness of the people, the voice of every good citizen must be, Let the former be sacrificed to the latter." James Madison writing in Federalist 45 that all power and mandate flows from the citizen to the state, and state to the union.

You would be well advised to examine your roll in government, Ms. Nasheed, and before you go calling the second amendment, "crazy", remember that you took an oath to defend it. Missouri's constitution reads very similar, and "shall not be infringed." has a very clear meaning.

    Sincerely,

    HinMO
