This Day in History: April 3

On April 3rd, a group of whalers on the Shackelford Banks were resting in the sun when they saw a ship and two schooners enter Cape Harbor. A small boat was sent to the whalers and the captain of the crew told them that he was from New England. He explained that the other ships were his prizes that he had taken. [More
