The Trouble with Trekkers

So many of them, particularly on the creative end, fall for their own line of Space UN bs.

All you need do is look at the United Federation of Planets flag.

That's why it's no surprise to see Leonard Nimoy and Patrick Stewart made the list. And to see Shatner, in spite of that "Boston Legal" clip, where gun owners think he's one of them because he was playing a caricature of a "right winger," stumping for PETA.  I suppose "A rat is a pig is a dog is a boy" is one way of showing Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations. And don't get me started on Brent Spiner.

So I guess it's no surprise to see Chicagoan David Gerrold, who's been milking Tribbles for the past going-on half a century, reveal himself to be an unreconstructed Prozi. He just slammed the door on a man who has a demonstrably superior vision of humanity's future in freedom.
