What Would Happen if "Battle of Athens" Round Two Ever Becomes Necessary?

The McMinn County Sheriff? Does that ring a bell for anyone? [More]
What would the outcome have been had "The Battle of Athens" GIs had to contend with MRAPs and other "weapons of war"? You know about that, right?

My latest JPFO alert notes how things have changed. Also, this article introduces the site's new "comments" feature if you would like to head on over and share your thoughts.

  1. If somebody dared reenact the situation leading up to the Batle of Athens, would they transport the ballot boxes in the MRAP, or would they not think about their tank on wheels until after they started to meet resistance?

If the vets raid the NG armory nearest me, they'll have helicopter gunships. A few seconds of mini-gun fire and the tires on the MRAP would be no more than memories. Add some Molotov cocktails and that MRAP becomes a quarter million dollar pig roaster, just like the Panzer tanks in the Warsaw Ghetto.

  2. They have to get out of the MRAP sometime......
