Some gun-control activists call the pro-gun efforts irresponsible. "Restaurants routinely protect their patrons from second-hand smoke, so it makes sense they would go out of their way to protect them from bullets as well," said Shannon Watts... [More]Why, what a perfect analogy, Shannon! You've even brought me around.
I absolutely support the right of any restaurant to discourage the firing of all guns on premises except in self-defense.
I mean, they just ask the cigarettes not be lit, right? They don't say anything about having a pack in your pocket or purse, do they?

That's hilarious -- what a great rebuttal!
ReplyDeleteSay, what restaurant bans concealed carry of a loaded cigarette lighter?
Why, it's flammable. It could be used to set someone on fire.
Lighters and alcohol don't mix.
Um, no.
ReplyDeleteRestaurants (and bars) faced prohibitive fines and legal action if they didn't comply with the government's ban on tobacco. The business owners had no say in the matter. This idiocy extends to vapor inhalers and e-cigs now, too, although there is NO SECONDHAND DANGER TO ANYONE FROM THEM.
Government wants to force restaurants and bars to ban guns now, too...just like tobacco. It's a matter of nanny-state control, and has nothing to do with safety, logic or reason.
