A state appeals court has ruled that judges cannot appoint lawyers at taxpayer expense to represent people applying to restore their right to possess firearms after they’ve undergone court-ordered psychiatric treatment. I still want to know the mechanism by which a shrink can and will certify that a person is now safe to own a gun again, and not be risking his reputation and career.
