Unfolding Sharpton snitch scandal could overshadow Yee allegations

Assuming their sting activities are over so the FBI can no longer dismiss inquiries using an "ongoing investigation" excuse, this would appear to be the type of law enforcement operation that cries for oversight hearings. [More]
Today’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes if the guy was given a pass, someone in the administration probably had a hand in it. Why not pull the thread and see who?

And what exactly does Obama mean by "No justice, no peace" anyway?

Something to Wonder About

I wonder how many people who would get outraged by a "Ban Guns Now" sign actually do/contribute anything... [More]

About that Stevens Militia Quote

I see it's being picked up again due to an editorial he just wrote plugging his book... [More]

I won't be addressing it (again), because I already did back in February.

We have Established what You Are ... We are Now Merely Haggling Over the Price

Ernst Mauch, since 2005, ex-CEO of HK and since 2006 CEO of Armatix...[More]

Gee, he likes guns so he MUST be one of us.

Ain't that right, Lon?

Surprising Critics

We want a police officer to be able to take any gun, his partner's gun, a criminal's gun, any gun, and use that gun to his advantage. If he is in a scuffle, and he gets a criminal's weapon and it's useless to him, we've got a safety problem. [More]
The FOP, of all groups, has a novel consideration...

The Monster is Real

And it uses scare tactics because it doesn't want people armed. [Watch]

Our View

No guns for soldiers! [More]

We base that on the vast military experience of our editorial board.

As Long as We're Doing Comparisons...

If guns are the relevant metric to focus on, why not demonstrate how the five million members of the NRA have a higher murder rate than Japan? [More]

A "Progressive" Tax

Can the government seize your tax refund to pay a relative's debt? [More]
Well, since the Constitution no longer matters, why would proscriptions against "corruption of blood" be an impediment?

And in Other News, Water is Wet

"...violent people cause violence.” [More]
Fine and good, but his "there isn’t a constitutional amendment that says we have a right to have a car" assertion shows the guy needs to stick to his field of training.

Of more concern to me is why middle school students are being manipulated this way.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

When the only thing good you can say about her is she's getting old, it's pretty evident the other two "qualities" are what matter. [More]

In fairness, I disallow certain comments here, especially anonymous personal attacks and obvious trolls. I would not say something from the shadows that I would not say to a man's face. Reports of My Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated

Obama's Big "But"

The President strongly believes that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to bear arms. But... [More]
What liars.

Still, as sickening and platitude-filled as this is, we need to understand it for simple self-protection.

And we also need to note something I keep harping on (without much effect, I fear), and that is our opponents make use of the potential of social media, and we cede that to them and ignore it to our own detriment.

Guilty Until Prove Innocent?

They would have to be proven constitutional under some form of heightened scrutiny. [More]
Why?  We're the ones who have to prove ourselves now?

How about instead, the burden gets placed on the government to demonstrate where in the Constitution they have the delegated power to even weigh in on the matter, perversions of the "Commerce clause" and other usurpations and tyrannical "precedents" aside?

I keep finding applications for Pynchon's maxim...

We're the Only Ones Backlogged Enough

Let's see, we have special rules that harass peaceable gun owners with delays that we can't keep up with and that facilitate noncompliance, so the "solution" is to harass them with even more delays and rules...? [More]

Y'know, that might just be bizarro enough to label "common sense."

As for gun sales "plummeting," all kinds of things besides a "new law" factor into when "law abiding" gun owners reckon they have enough -- and as for those who go outside "the system," be they outright "real criminals" or simply those who have had it with obeying tyrants, it's a combination of wishful thinking and a lie for the antis to assert they've got a valid handle on those numbers.

Which, of course, is what  Prozis do...

We're the Only Ones Deal-Making Enough

As a part of the plea deal, the indictment against Emmert was dismissed and he avoided trial on felony charges of possession of an unregistered machine gun and possession of a machine gun. [More]
I'm sure Wayne Fincher will be happy to hear that "law enforcement" gets special treatment. Even after they udderly discredit themselves.
