My older brother tells me our uncle was campaigning to get him the gold. If we can locate what he wrote, I'll follow up on this post.

    Alex Vraciu and George Codrea can both claim the title of "A man Among Men". We are losing our WWII and Korea vets at 100 a day.

    I would like to know the name of the carrier Mr. Vraciu was on that was torpedoed twice. My Dad was on the Lexington and he told me they took a couple of fish. They could have been shipmates.
