    Sen. Mark Kirk says he will support nomination of Loretta Lynch for attorney general

    Why?
    Kirk made his remarks during a luncheon speech appearance at the City Club. It came in response to a question from the audience. He said he visited with Lynch on March 11 and spoke with her about getting federal support to “crush” criminal gangs in Illinois. That discussion helped to convince him, he said.
