Again, people blaming the tool instead of the mentally ill person using the tool and people not blaming society for not doing enough to help the mentally ill. According to the logic of change,org, banning the tool used by some mentally ill will "fix" the mental illness and mitigate violent behavior? That in itself is delusional thinking.
What is the cost of insufficiently helping or not helping the mentally ill? The cost is people hurt and killed by various methods when the mentally ill act inappropriately. Since mental health care is monetarily costly, dealing with the occasional pseudo-random violent act is considered to be the lower cost option, like a perverse lottery.
I notice the people who want to repeal the 2nd. amendment have at least one thing in common. They all believe the Constitution and amendments grant us our rights. Any government that can grant us our rights, can also take them. Our rights come from "Our Creator" and the constitution is only a document that promises us that the government formed by the people will not try to take our rights. The hoplophobes believe we gun owners are unstable and dangerous, but if this were true, why are they still alive? Paul in Texas
