West Virginia Constitutional Carry

After a procedural vote by the Senate, the bill will head to the Governor Tomblin. The governor must not veto this bill. Please call Governor Tomblin's office at 304.558.2000 and urge him to sign this giant leap forward in the liberty and personal safety of not just West Virginians, but all who travel to West Virginia. Contact all your friends and associates, and ask them to do the same. It's not much in terms of effort, just dial the number and politely tell whoever answers: "Please ask the governor to sign SB347." [More]
West Virginia Citizens Defense League has a five-minute activism project. Please share their press release with everyone you know who will be receptive to it.

As you can see, this will benefit more than just Mountain Staters.  Please do what they ask, and do one more thing I ask-- you know how I'm always bugging gun owners about not squandering opportunities by turning noses up at tools the enemy uses to great advantage, and if we don't do the same, we're ceding them entire fronts on the information battlefield?

Send the message "Please sign SB347" to @GovTomblin and leave the same comment under the post of your choice at the WVGov Facebook page.

I did.

Falling Down on the Job

Anti-gun physician suggests gunfight strategy: fall down [More]
No wonder physician-caused deaths and malpractice due to incompetence are such leading causes of death.

Dr. William D. Bezdek, Gunquack.

Mike Thompson's Big "But"

I'm a hunter and gun owner. I support the Second Amendment. [More]
No you don't, you liar.

As for you being a Fudd, I don't give a damn. As for you being a gun owner, you shouldn't be. If I were an FFL and you came into my place, I'd tell you to get the hell out.

Shrink to Fit?

Assuming you don't subscribe, you may want to see if your local library or any system it is part of carries this.

Mine doesn't, so I need to check local colleges to see if their academic library carries it.

Stephen Stromberg, Even More Ridiculous Than Usual

Oh look. Alinsky Rule 5. How clever. [More]

Talk about a cartoonish attack.

And how do we know the Bloombergians weren't involved? Because the same people with a history of concealing their involvement and ordering the record sealed said so?

Not that you'd ever read about that history in The Washington Post.

Team Bloomberg wants to ban the guns that fire the ammo. Of course they want to ban the ammo. Or I suppose Snarky Stephen has their comments to ATF opposing the framework...?

Plan Coming Together

It looks like someone read the signals Eric Holder was flashing. [More]

We may just have us one interesting long, hot summer.

Gun WHAT Advocates?

Hundreds of gun-rights and gun-safety advocates came to the Capitol on Wednesday... [More]
The fights advocates are the safety advocates. Those other people are just a bunch of totalitarian cultist loons with zero gun safety experience.

Is Jesse Stoned?

On March 4, a Senate Non-Civil Judiciary Committee passed Chairman Jesse Stone’s SB159 bill that proposes to legalize no-knock searches for the first time in Georgia history. [More]

Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes a declination that may be one of desperation. Either that or one of confidence, because they know the fix is in.

When "Authorized Journalists" and DOJ and then Obama Collide

OKEECHOBEE COUNTY ILLEGAL ALIEN PLEADS GUILTY TO ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF FIREARM [More]
Uh-oh... somebody used the "I" word.

So with its new narrative-controlling "standards" forbidding that term, how is AP able to accurately report a quote from an official federal agency?  Fortunately for them, when a story involving their administration heroes gets too conflicting for them in terms of whether they want the public to know, they just revert to their "Shhh ... don't tell anybody" default.

Any bets someone, U.S. Attorney Wilfredo A. Ferrer, for instance, gets his ass chewed and it gets passed down the chain in no uncertain terms that such "offensive" references are now verboten, and a kinder, gentler deception must be used?

Just in case anyone wants to pull a "Commissar Vanishes" revision on this, here's a screenshot of how the announcement appears at this writing:

"Real reporters" and "legitimate media": Is it any wonder we trust them  so?

UPDATE: Now that I've put them in a round room and told them to pee in the corner, let's see if they opt to just hold it:

A Matter of Choice

It’s her choice ... All I ultimately care about is that she has the choice and that whatever choice she makes is enthusiastically embraced and celebrated ... But I’m going to support my daughter, whatever choices she makes. [More]

What's in a Title?

It doesn't matter if they changed it, the first sentence says it all:
I hate Republicans. [More]

This Day in History: March 12

There is something very misterious in this business. It appears, reports have been propagated in Philadelphia, that dangerous combinations were forming in the Army; and this at a time when there was not a syllable of the kind in agitation in Camp. It also appears, that upon the arrival in Camp of the Gentleman above alluded to such sentiments as these were immediately circulated: That it was universally expected the army would not disband untill they had obtained justice; That the public creditors looked up to them for Redress of their own grievances, wd afford them every aid, and even join them in the Field if necessary; That some mem of Congress wished the measure might take effect, in order to compel the public, particularly the delinquent States, to do justice; with many other suggestions of a similar nature.
