#WhateverItTakes
Really? [More]
So how many men like me are you willing to try to kill? Because as long as we're breathing, we will not comply. And some of us will do whatever it takes to protect ourselves.
This is it? Even with all those high-profile politicians and funding and media attention?
Keep bleating, noisemakers. The bottom line:
No. Your move.

A Legal Question
From WarOnGuns Correspondent Doug C:
Do you?
As the Heller opinion affirmed gun ownership as in individual right, and as individual rights may not be taxed (Murdock v. Pennsylvania, 319 U.S. 105 (1943)), how is it that we pay 10% FET on the retail price of a new gun, sales tax on any gun purchased via a licensee, 11% FET on the retail price of ammo + sales tax? ITAR tax if you're a manufacturer...etc, etc. You get the idea. It would be very interesting to get a gunny attorneys take on this if you know any that are interested.I don't have a qualified legal opinion to give him.

On the premise that if it's not clear to one, there may be others with the same reaction: I'm not talking about state agencies in that paragraph. That's why I did not capitalize "child protective services" and "family services," in order to contrast the actual meaning of those terms against how Opposite Day "progressives" use them. [More]
Competitive Disadvantage
Who thinks you can blow off 20% in a winner-take-all contest and still prevail? [More]
If I headed an organization that feared public perception in terms of losses my competitors would use against me, I'd recognize an instant advantage and act on it. Especially if it had everything to do with that "single issue."
The Ds are locked in. There's really no rational reason for the Rs to continue being stupid, unless that's part of a greater plan.
