This year, Range Day sounded like the Battle of Dak To, or perhaps Fallujah, with the distinctive pop-pop-pop of full-auto fire, which was extremely popular amongst all the SEAL wannabes. Indeed, this was symbolic of the whole show, which has now become so heavily militarized that you have to look fairly hard for something designed to kill animals instead of people. [More]
Yeah, that's always bothered you, hasn't it
Mr. Petzal, since back before the time you sold us out when we needed unity the most?
Petzl is a yiddish word for the male member, a rather diminutive and dirty one. Nishtikeit!

Petzal needs to wake up and smell the Hoppes. I'm 70(+) years old. My first coyote hunting rifle was an early 30 M-1 carbine and dang near all of my gear and hunting clothes were WW-II and Korean War surplus. All that stuff was battle tested and was affordable. Looks like times haven't changed that much after all.

The only intelligent phrase I could find in Petzal's article and the comments was this-
ReplyDelete"And, have to say, these tactical people are the ones leading the charge in defending 2A rights, they're ever vigilant."
The next sentence in the guy's comment was disparaging toward the "tactical guys".
Petzal claims he bought an A-R-one that combined with his choice of optic, probably 90% of us couldn't afford to drop the $$$ on.
I still recall Petzal claiming no one needed an A-R-15,there was no valid reason for any mere citizen to own such a rifle-(or some such nonsense) back in the late 70's or early 80's.
As long as he sticks to hunting and bolt-action rifles,he does write very well about rifles,it's when self-defense and the second amendment come up that the man has issues.
How can anyone who appears to be reasonably intelligent like Petzal
seems to be not understand that all gun owners need to stick together?
It doesn't take a whole lot of imagination to see that the anti-gun zealots will have no problem claiming hunting rifles are "sniper rifles" and work to enact licensing and/or registration prior to attempting-or worse succeeding in banning bolt-action hunting rifles.
I,along with most of my friends are life long hunters and target shooters-we oppose any more "gun control" measures, and most of us believe that the current gun control nonsense needs to be repealed.
There are far too many things that make one a "prohibited person",and almost all are nonsense, and have zero effect on "gun violence"
