Trigger Control

Just point and cli... oh, damn... [More]

So put your booger hook ON the bang switch? I always figured some day Jeff Cooper would be made obsolete by technology.

Hey, if the object is to save time, how about a sensor that automatically fires the gun whenever it senses a person in front of the muzzle?

UPDATE: It seems the attention ... uh ... triggered a site takedown.  Fortunately, the Wayback Machine had an archive, so I changed the link.

And then there's this, because "first tier operators" are super-special Only Ones, with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men, and never, ever screw up and always maintain weapons in perfect operating condition, regardless:

This is one poorly thought-out product.

  1. I spoke to Terry Abst, their CEO. He says that due to overwhelmingly negative reactions to the idea, he decided to sell that only to military. I'm still not exactly thrilled. He also described another product in development that might be decent, depending on exactly what the trigger switch on that one does.

If I ever see someone with that AR thingie at a range, he's leaving or I am. MamaLiberty, her club's chief range safety officer says that anyone turning up with one "will be escorted to the gate and asked not to return."

  5. "You gently depress the Touch Detection Tab that is machined into the middle of the trigger. Its motion is captured and activates onboard accessories. When and if you are ready or need to discharge your weapon, you pull the trigger as you would normally to discharge your weapon."

I bet that will work real well right after you've had a quart of adrenaline dumped into your system. I can see ND's going up a lot, with all the associated deaths.

  6. That video is painful. Pointing the pistol at his hand. Muzzles sweeps. Booger-hooking. I pity the folks with booths near them.
