Will Some Pro-gun Reps. Try to Kill Constitutional Concealed Carry?

No. By definition, if they try to do that, they are anti-gun. [More]
But some pro-gun congressman are suffering from a type of “Stockholm syndrome,” where prisoners become so oppressed that they begin to think like their captors. There are some pro-gun members of Congress who have allowed anti-gun crazies like Chuck Schumer to convince them that the freedom citizens enjoy in Constitutional Carry states is just too much.
OK, who are they?

Those are the ones who should be identified and deluged with reminders that betrayals have consequences.  That would make a lot more sense than asking members who live in districts dominated by antis to waste time and effort contacting someone who can safely treat them with contempt.

  1. That will never happen until enough GOA members wise up and deluge GOA with demands to stop sending us idiotic requests to write letters to gun grabbers simply because they're "our reps". GOA should always include options to focus on conceivably-receptive legislators outside our own districts. Same story for grading excessive legal immigration and invasion-occupation as the most critical and permanently fatal but indirect gun rights issue.

You and I have raised the mindless "write your representative" issue but GOA, like all national organizations, is infected with beltway arrogance, NIH syndrome, etc.

I've been told by GOA that legislators don't want to hear from voters outside their district. That reply is idiotic, irrelevant and misleading. Bet your ass legislators listen to potential donors and volunteers (for or against them) from outside their districts, for the same reason they listen to GOA lobbyists. Whether they tell GOA that they "want to" or not is irrelevant. They do.

I'm a life member who has gone out of his way to promote GOA, referring many thousands of members. I can no longer donate or refer potential members until these issues are addressed.

  2. There seems to be a lack of information here. WHO are these Stockholm syndrome representatives? Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see it here or in the GOA article. Inquiring minds would like to know!

    Set me straight.

  3. That's what I'm asking. If they make charges, they ought to flesh them out. If somebody is betraying us, we need to turn up the heat on them.
