We all have the right to worship a deity in the manner we choose. However, do not expect some to wear a yellow star on their outer garments to indicate their choice, even though that would make you more comfortable.
This person who objects to concealed carry by others should presume that everyone around her is armed and act appropriately - adding apparent agoraphobia to her obvious hoplophobia. In the meantime, she should move to Florida, where open carry of firearms is prohibited except for a few exceptions such as while hunting or fishing. She would be forced to accept the illusion that no one around her was armed despite the large proportion that truly are armed without her noticing. Those that are armed in public in Florida include those who have licenses to carry concealed weapons and those who do not, such as felons in possession of firearms. Since Florida does not require any type of state issued license to purchase firearms and keep them in their homes or businesses or to carry a loaded firearms in the glovebox of their vehicles, the number of firearms possessed by Floridians is much higher than the number of licenses to carry concealed weapons.
