Now I can feel which way the wind is blowing! |
Senate Republicans are expected to bring a bipartisan gun control bill to a vote this week despite opposition to the measure from the National Rifle Association and other conservative groups. [More]Well, the NRA doesn't have completely clean hands in this.
A lot of these poltroons need to be Cantored.
Message to the GOP:
WE WON’T STAND FOR SCAPEGOATING
NO NEW GUN LAWS
DENY SUCCESS TO MASS MURDERERS BY ABOLISHING PHONY ‘GUN-FREE’ VICTIM / KILLER-ENABLING ZONES NOW
WORK WITH US OR WE WILL WORK TO RETIRE YOU
It would help if they heard that from more than a couple of us.
And as for retiring them, I may just have the perfect trust-betraying candidate:
- The Tea Party trusted Kelly Ayotte, and she immediately moved left.
- NRA went to bat for her and now she's using that bat on us.
- This is what Opposite Day "progressives" mean by "trust."
- Naturally, she's part of the cultural terraforming cadre as well.
So what if her Democrat opponent is worse? Cutting cancer out hurts, but the alternative is death.
If gun owners continue to reward enemies inside the gate because of that cowardly excuse, the betrayals will continue. Make a high profile example out of one and those who fear they will be targeted next will fall into line out of survival instinct if not principle.
If the GOPoltroons don't like it they should run better candidates. And by the way, never donate directly to the RNC -- they'll spread it out to include giving aid and comfort to enemies like Ayotte, Collins, Kirk...
And also remember, there's a lot of posturing going on right now. There's still the House. And after that, and after whatever court cases result, there's still the fact that some of us will not comply with whatever Intolerable Acts these parasites try to impose.
It's a gun banner's wet dream to be able to deny Second Amendment rights without due process. One wrong word on the internet, and you're on the watch list, and your gun rights are irretrievably gone. Any appeals process will simply rubberstamp the same vague criteria that got you on the list to begin with.
ReplyDeleteThey will need to get as many ordinary Americans as possible onto the list, to prove that they're correct when they tell us that the bigger problem is right-wing terrorists. All this talk now is aimed at jihadis, but these laws, if passed, will be aimed directly at us.
