As of July 1, if a handgun carry permit holder in Tennessee is injured, suffers bodily injury or death, incurs economic loss or expense, property damage or any other compensable loss on a property posted as a gun-free zone, they can sue the person or entity who stripped them of their right to self defense. I hate to be the fly in the ointment (not really, someone's got to be) but what does this do for people who don't believe anyone has authority to dispense "permission" to exercise a right? Not that they're likely to let a sign deter them, but it does pretty much guarantee they won't be saving others or sticking around afterward to make a report...
