Killings in Compton have tripled this year, rattling nerves and testing a key anti-crime initiative [More]Gosh, if only California had some sort of "gun control."
I remember being dragooned into jury duty in Compton. What a pleasure it was having to park my car and then run the gauntlet past distinguished-looking FODs (friends of defendants) on my way to the scanners.
