They don't record anything. That way the FBI's 302's will be the ONLY record of the conversation. ANYTHING they wrote down becomes "the truth". Hell, its documented!
ReplyDeleteI thought that all police interviews were recorded. Cops like to show a small recorder to the interviewee, turn it off, and encourage them to talk. The OTHER recorder is still running. Or, maybe the FBI hasn't heard about that trick.
ReplyDeleteA couple of years ago, the DOJ did send out a memo "urging" that suspects in custody be recorded.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter if she was under oath or not, lying to a Federal agent is a crime. It doesn't matter if you are sworn under oath or not.
