I received the sad news this morning. Our friend passed away this morning at around 1 a.m. Central.
I was waiting for a Sipsey Street announcement, but do not know when that will be, and Rosey told me I could go ahead and share the sad news.
I will be doing a memorial piece later today. Arrangements have not yet been determined, so I'll share those when they are.
Rest in peace, my friend.
ReplyDeleteShit.
ReplyDeleteRest in peace soldier. No more human suffering by Mike or his family.
ReplyDeleteRIP to an honest patriot. That the end was inevitable makes it no easier to bear. May we all aspire to his fortitude and honor.

ReplyDeleteThe greatest honor would be for others to take the baton and keep running. Prayers for the family.
ReplyDeleteA great loss. Even though it is not unexpected it is still a hard loss to take.
ReplyDeleteRIP, Mr. Vanderboegh. You are greatly missed already.
Vaya con Dios. You left many men better because of your actions.

ReplyDeleteRIP Mike.
ReplyDeleteWHEN we get this country back on course, Mike's name will be elevated in a place of honor for all he has done for us and taught us.
ReplyDeleteBeing a cancer survivor myself (so far), I appreciate the hardship of Mike's many travels and speeches. His efforts in the quest for liberty has been an inspiration. He is one who surely deserves to Rest In Peace!

Let us all honor him by joining the fight. I'm sure he'd consider that to be the best tribute.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I went to Sipsey Street in the last couple of months I was expecting to hear this. I'm glad that Mike has finally been released from his suffering but I'm going to miss him. May he rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteDeepest condolences to Rosey and family. Mike, rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he was met at the pearly gates by Jefferson, Madison, Franklin and a host of other patriots of his stature. I think he would be among his pears. Thanks Mike, I knew you only through the various blogs covering your fight for liberty and the Sipsey Street Irregulars but that was enough to know that I wanted to know more. We are here because you were here first. Thank you for your gift of courage, determination and leadership. RIP
ReplyDeleteMay peace be with his family and loved ones.
ReplyDeleteGodspeed Mike and my sincere condolences to Rosie and the family
ReplyDeleteGood man who has done a lot to open the eyes of many people.
ReplyDeleteHe sure knew how to compose points on paper.
RIP
Rest in peace, Amigo.
ReplyDeleteThis sucks. Prayers for Mike's wife Rosie, and all the family and friends.
ReplyDeleteHe's gone, but will not be forgotten. I'll grab that torch as well.
Thank you, Mike. You woke me up, along with msny others.

Di mortalis nihil nisi bonum. Mike, you opened my eyes, inspired me to look at the truth that gov't does NOT own us or rule us. We are the true masters of our own destiny along with God's Mighty Hand of providence and protection over us. Gov't is our servant, not our master. It is our creation. The creation serves the creator, not the creator serves the creation. We are NOT slaves. I will miss your asthute observations, analysis and words of wisdom my friend. Even though I never met you, I consider you my friend. For liberty is the friend of all who desire it and are willing to sacrifice for it. This fight is about the future of this republic and the future of our children and grandchildren. I am in the fight, I will stay in the fight till Freedom Rings once again for ALL Americans and the evil that has insidiously pervaded the gov't, society, churches, and the minds of American's is vanquished. This is a gov't, but it IS NOT our gov't. It resembles nothing of the limitations placed on it by the Constitution. The socialists and communists have taken our country will be routed one day. I call on all the vets in this country to unite and network and use the skills we were taught. For we shall be the onces who will restore the Republic. They are afraid of us. That's why we are labeled and denigrated. Why the hajis and illegals get all the free stuff and we are left to die waiting for promised medical care.
ReplyDeleteRest in peace old friend. May the Marines at the gate salute you and give you all honor and the Father welcome you home.
